Past Project

SOLAR INSTALLATION

Capacity: The warehouse installed 1,000 solar panels on its expansive roof, generating four times the energy it consumes annually

Objective: To reduce reliance on grid electricity and lower carbon emissions using renewable energy

Battery Energy
Storage System (BESS)

Integration: A BESS was installed to store excess solar energy generated during sunny periods. This system ensures that energy is not wasted and can be used during the night or when solar generation is low

Advantages: Enhances energy independence, shifts loads to off-peak periods to save costs, and provides backup power in the event of grid interruptions

Energy Management
System (EMS)

Function: The EMS is designed to optimize the use of solar energy and stored energy. It manages the energy flow between solar panels, BESS, the grid, and warehouse operations

Features: Real-time monitoring, energy consumption forecast analysis, and automatic switching between solar, battery, and grid power based on efficiency and cost

Costs

Solar Panels: AUD 500,000 (includes installation, inverter, first year's maintenance costs)

BESS: AUD 300,000 (includes batteries, installation, and initial setup)

EMS: AUD 24,000 annually (AUD 2,000 per month)

Total Initial Investment: AUD 824,000

Operational Savings
and Revenue Analysis

Function: The EMS is designed to optimize the use of solar energy and stored energy. It manages the energy flow between solar panels, BESS, the grid, and warehouse operations

Features: Real-time monitoring, energy consumption forecast analysis, and automatic switching between solar, battery, and grid power based on efficiency and cost
