SOLAR INSTALLATION
Client: Mercury Car Wash is a car cleaning and care service business located in Whittlesea, Victoria. Due to the continuous operation of high-pressure washing equipment, water pumps, and drying systems, Mercury Car Wash's energy consumption is high, leading to rising electricity bills. To address increasing energy costs and improve business sustainability, Mercury Car Wash decided to reduce operating costs and carbon emissions by installing a solar system
Capacity: CES assessed Mercury Car Wash's electricity consumption patterns and designed a 27kW solar system specifically to reduce daytime peak electricity consumption, especially during busy washing periods when equipment is in frequent use
Project Benefits
Since installing the 27kW solar system, Mercury Car Wash has significantly reduced its dependence on grid electricity, especially during peak daytime business hours. The system generates most of the electricity needed during the day, leading to a substantial reduction in electricity bills
Annual Power Generation: Approximately 40,000 kWh
Annual Savings on Electricity Bills: Around AUD 6,000 to 8,000
Reduction in Grid Electricity Consumption: More than 60% reduction in daytime grid electricity use
Expects to recover the installation costs within 3 to 4 years

Review
The solar system installed by CES is excellent. Our electricity bill was cut in half, and the system paid for itself in just a few years. The installation was seamless, and it didn't interfere with our daily operations at all. We are thrilled to save on costs and contribute to environmental protection through solar energy. I highly recommend any business with similar needs to consider installing solar energy.”
